gentlemen
my friends and family always tells me to be a gentlemen. to always follow the rules of real men.
notice the word MEN in gentlemen.
whenever you meet a girl you just met, they always tell me to shake their hand, and say "hi, nice to meet you. i'm jann and you are?" (even though you don't see 15 year old boys do it nowadays).
they tell me to run to the door before them, and open doors to let women pass by us. saying "ladies first." (even though your late 30 minutes from work or class).
they tell me to say gentle and nice things. such as please and thank yous , to im sorry and i forgive you. (even though many have forgotten etiquette).
they tell me to pull up a chair for the dear sweet lady. (even if it's at mcdonalds or the cafeteria).
to get out of the damn car as fast as you can, and go to the other side to open the car door for the lady. (even though you'll scrape your knee and may even trip while in the process).
to always bring flowers and give it to her. (even though you had to travel around the city, just to buy her favourite colour of flower).
to always remember those every little things you mention and memories. (but the truth is , we write that shit down. how else you think we remember everything that happened).
to always be nice and gentle with all the people in school. (even though deep down, we hate that one kid that we would wanna deck in the fckn face).
i've been taught to always put others before me, to always care for others. but to also know what's right and what's wrong.

Dear lord ,
I don't ask for much.
I don't ask for the things that I want.
I don't ask for super powers or any others.
I don't ask for money , "hoes" and "bitches"
I don't ask for wishes to come true or oppurtunities to come.
Today , I'm just asking for one thing from you God.
Only one thing.
I'm asking you to listen to what I'm about to say.
Please don't ignore this. Because I mean every word of it.
God ,
I have failed you as a human being , as a son , as a brother , as a role model ,
as a friend , as a student , as an athlete , as a grandson , as a kid ,
and as a boyfriend.
In my 15 year old life , I have done mistakes , let opportunities pass me by , let others get the best of me , used people , lied , cheated , let my anger out to others , didn't care just enough , and this and that. I could go on forever.
God , please help me as a better man. As I go through life , please be there for me , if all the important people and things in my life will be gone. Be there for me. and hold my head and heart up. In the future , be my guardian angel.
Help me pick the right decisions , tell my mind to listen to my heart , be a better person , brother , son , friend , and as a lover in the future.
Help my heart and soul to be strong when it is needed to be me , to stay strong whenever the storm comes and destroy my life.
Help me be the person I want to be. In the inside and out.
Help me go through the challenges and obstacles through years.
Because I can't do this alone. Nobody can.
This is the prayer of a 15 year old who was lied to , taken for granted , let others step on his shoes , let others pick decisions for him , confused , upset , not caring enough , tired with life , annoyed , selfish , not trying , nobody trusted him , cried , and heartbroken.
I may have many things that I regret.
But my stupid decisions and difference
made me realize that I'm only human.
